What is tissue stress theory?
Tissue stress theory is the idea that when prescribing orthoses (orthotics) it is best to offload the cause of stress which is causing the pathology or injury in the lower limb. This is just one theory a podiatrist uses when prescribing orthoses for you.
For example, if you have plantar fasciopathy, your podiatrist can design a device that can offload your plantar fascia.
It is often combined or used alone with other theories such as the Root theory.
Our podiatrist uses a neutral casting technique to ensure we capture your feet in a neutral position and combines both modified root theory and tissue stress theory to achieve optimal treatment for your individual feet.
We treat feet from all over Sydney, particularly the Eastern Suburbs. As podiatrists in Bondi Junction, we are happy to treat anyone that comes to our Sydney clinic. Our local area includes Bondi Junction, Bondi, Bondi Beach, North Bondi, Rose Bay, Tamarama, Coogee, Randwick, Bellevue Hill, Dover Heights, Vaucluse, and Edgecliff.
